"Die Treue" by Frank Savage
Cape Reinga 1972.
Mind racing, seeking vengeance
Stability and slow moving concepts thrives as one
Peace at last, the bastion of hate falling smooth
Leaves descending after the root has been sliced
Why this feeling of tranquility as the cold wind pushes you
off balance?
The everdeep blue pulling and gives growth for solid
thoughts
Purposeless on sore legs, lungs filled as night fades
First black kiss of death is becoming ever more welcoming
Isn’t this the perfect end, while ahead as clear red blood
still flowing with a force
Lines leading where the never ending takes the true hold
Pure and free, gravity keeps down a man that needs to ascend
Wind on ocean, fortress of grey keeping an insane mind sane
Soar, black tar of guilt seeping out and away
Washed away for a moment as the past is forgotten
Seeking too low, nature taking life and returning all as a
truce of sanity
Lone survivor of man, become the element
With powerful life surrounding a body that shall wither in
time
(Remember this)
(Treasure this)
Clean and nothing becoming the man that gives to receive
'The unhappiness that I need and long for…is the kind that will let me suffer with eagerness and die with lust. That is the unhappiness, or happiness, that I am waiting for'
Harry Haller a.k.a The Steppenwolf
